The main reasons for seal failure of plate heat exchanger are as follows:

1) When operating the equipment, the pressure rise and temperature rise should be as stable as possible;2) can increase the preloaded on the clamping screw spring, effective prestressing force compensation seal change, prevent leakage pressure

1) in view of the structure characteristics of plate heat exchanger, according to the operating pressure, when the equipment type selection design pressure could be increased by 1.5 ~ 2 times;

2) Try to avoid the impact of the system during use, such as adding a waterproof hammer and air hammer device in the pipeline and making strict operating rules to prevent the pipeline impact caused by operator's misoperation;

3) In applications where such accidents have occurred, measures can also be taken to increase the thickness of the plate according to the circumstances. The effect is obvious, but the heat exchange efficiency will be reduced.
